The client function in NiōBase can be set up in a quick and easy manner.
- To create a new client as an account, click on 'Accounts' on your profile icon in the top right hand corner. Then click on 'New' and add the company name and address.
You cannot create a client using the same email address that was used to create another client. The email address used, is used by the Akarion servers as a Global ID and can only be used once. If necessary, use a second address.
- Create a user in the new client (e.g. external data protection officer or coordinator, group-wide data protection officer or coordinator) who is to have access to this new client. Please proceed as described in the User Management section.
- The user (e.g. external data protection officer or coordinator, group-wide data protection officer or coordinator) can now see these new clients (other accounts) in his/her system (e.g. parent company) in the “Operative” navigation section. This is where all other new clients will be displayed. The following screen illustrates this principle.
By clicking on the desired client (for example: Akarion GmbH, under accounts), the user will be able to access the data of the selected client.
The selected client is displayed in blue in the top left corner below the NiōBase logo. By clicking on the main account (for example Akarion GmbH), you can return to where you started.
Always make sure you are aware of which client you are located in, to avoid making accidental changes to the data that were not planned.
If you are working with several opened tabs and you change clients, the system will prompt you with a refresh command to update the client in this tab.
