Gender note

In the interest of facilitating the readability of the texts, the masculine or feminine form of personalised nouns has been chosen. This does not in any way imply discrimination towards the other gender form. Men and women are therefore equally addressed by the contents of our website.

We thank you for your understanding.

Important Information

We exclusively support browsers of a current generation and are therefore only able to guarantee a complete and correct range of functions with the use of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Please make sure that all work stations that use our data protection management system (DPMS) NiōBase are set-up accordingly.

You will need a special Account ID to set up the new company account. This ID is provided to you by Akarion following the conclusion of the sales contract and the terms of use. Please make sure that you have this Account ID available.

During the set-up of the account, you have the possibility of loading demo data. This will provide you with a quicker overview of the functionality of the system. This data can be deleted at any time.

The DPMS will be delivered with various templates for processing activities, technical and organisational measures (TOMS) and organisations (processors, authorities…). Prior to starting with the work, please supplement these with individually required organisations, categories, contact persons, system users, and IT systems. Even though these entries can be added at any time, this will facilitate the use of the DPMS. For more information, refer to the Quick Start NiōBase section.

If your user licence was already set up by an administrator, then you will already have received the request to enter a password and have probably carried out the initial login. In this case, you can skip the Sign-Up section.

Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an advantage for the operation of the DPMS because many functions were especially developed to support the implementation of the GDPR requirements within organisations. Furthermore, we always refer to the relevant GDPR article. If you have any questions about this, please contact the competent authority within your organisation or your supervising data protection expert.

Naturally, our Customer Success Team is also available for any questions.

NiōBase is being continuously further developed. In addition to various innovations, we are also working on functions relating to the implementation of the future e-privacy regulation.

It will be exciting! We will keep you up-to-date!

The Akarion Team
